Always up for a good food and wine festival, too bad you're so far away.

Hi Sylvie....This sound like a neat place to go this weekend..pick me up in the morning and I'll go too.

Oh..what are you doing up this late young lady ?

My wife loves cheese... if I mention this to her, I think I know where we might be Sunday afternoon =)

Thanx Sylvie, I think ;-)

Elizabeth, I'd love to go too ... not sure I can.

Bonnie, being busy is always good, but a little fun never hurt anyone.

Kryste, they probably have this sort of thing where you are.  They're fun.

Fred, yesterday I had work to do and by the time I finished, I needed to unwind on AR for a few minutes.  I was shocked I was actually awake that late.  Never happens anymore. :)

Chris, you should go.  It's more than cheese.  It's other food as well and it's delicious and lots of fun.

I'm reading so many food blogs this week that I feel like I'm in a perpetual state of hunger. This is NOT good, the week BEFORE Thanksgiving! D'oh!

Posted by Lisa Hill (Daytona Beach Real Estate) (Florida Property Experts) 8 months ago

Lisa, this is the appetizer .... before the big Thanksgiving dinner. :)

Hey Sylvie,  That is one of the cheesiest post you have ever made but that's OK.  I love cheese!   ;)

HA HA Greg. :)  I love cheese too, but it doesn't love me (or my hips); but that's OK.  I'll have a little cheese and a lot of wine. :)

Silvie - this brings back memories of barbecued bread in a little restaurant in old Quebec city. If I am remembering correctly the only thing they served was bread that you dipped in a various assortment of spiced butters and then grilled them on a barbecue style grill.

Kathy, I know exactly what you're talking about.  I was at that restaurant.  Boy, it's been so many years since I was there.   The little croissanterie in old Quebec was great too.
It may be time to plan a trip ... and although February is beautiful there, I may wait until the Summer. :)

Sylvie - now my mouth is watering we tried to duplicate it after we returned back home but it was never the same.

Kathy, I'm having a 'girls' get together' at my house on Saturday and I'm going to have wine and cheese and then make my 'famous' salmon pasta ... and I've been thinking about grilling some bread and making my own spreads ... garlic butter, cheese and herbs, etc.
:)  Feel free to drop in ... we're starting at 5 :)

Oh I remember that Quebecois restaurant/store at the distillery - mmmm - i think i'm addicted to cheese!

Posted by Liz Moras ~Chilliwack Realtor, Chilliwack, Hope, Langley, Abbotsford (Harrison Hot Springs, Cultus Lake) 8 months ago

This would be that store, Liz.  Cheese, cheese and more cheese.... (as long as it's not stinky, I'll eat it).

Sylvie - sorry I missed the invite ... I just saw it now ... I try to get back and revisit where I have commented but don't always get back right away ... I trust you all had fun

Kathy, we had fun, and I must say, unusual for me, I actually had almost 3 glasses of wine.  Good thing I was home. :)  My apple/chocolate chip cake went over well too.  I may just learn to like baking. :)

Next time we get together, I'll send you the invite ahead of time. :)
